Everpress’s Type in Focus line is touted as “a celebration of typography to inspire the next generation of typefaces.” The range of 40 designs was created by a sparkling roster of design talent, including Colophon, Bureau Borsche, Studio Dumbar, Overlay, A practice for everyday life, Fraser Muggeridge and a whole bunch more.
Each of the designers or studios created their work under the theme of ’emotion’, a broad notion that naturally produced a diverse range of approaches ranging from the trendy and rave work of Superimpose to the all-caps design with political and pragmatic tendencies of Anthony Burrill. .
Among our favorites is that of Fabio Furlani stunning piece, which uses such abstract typography it is barely readable, and thanks to its use of bright yellow against black and the small sun-like graphic devices have something of an astrological feel to it.

There’s also Jackson Green, Travis Kane, Superpose, Studio Triple, Justin Sloane, Pierre Dufresne and Femme Type. Plus Gregory Page, Deep Gnome, Raoul Gottschling, Simen Røyseland, Kristina Bartosova, Jesse Johanning, Fabio Furlani, Johannes Schnatmann, Julien Hebert, Josh Saunders, Vivien Hoffmann, Koln Studio, Thomas Bauer, Hans Findling, Velvetine Type Foundry and Alex Slobzheninov.
