In his words:

“My passion for my craft is boundless, having the ability to bring lifeless surfaces to life at ease is worth being passionate about.

“I’m inspired when I see other amazing artists creating a wonderful work of art in their own way, so I try to make mine unique using basic materials, such as pencils, paper, stains of mixture, an eraser and cotton swabs. I literally converted my hobby into a business and not a job, it’s an inspiration to me.”

Valentine’s Day Challenges as an Artist

Valentine said it’s usually sad to be underestimated by people who don’t appreciate the arts or don’t know the value of an artist.

“It might be a bit difficult living in a world where people don’t really know your worth as an artist, trying to get the right audience that would really buy and appreciate your works might be difficult at times.

“Because of the economy, people don’t pay as much for an artwork, which can also be frustrating.”

Is the design lucrative?

Valentine described her work as lucrative since people pay for “her years of experience, not materials.”

“As an artist, people don’t really pay for your materials but rather for your years of experience and expertise. All the more reason why when someone shows up for an interview, employers ask the employee his years of experience.

“I use my experience more than my materials, which literally makes it lucrative. My artistic journey has been flexible with the invention of technology, being able to converse with people within my reach and beyond, having to share my ideas with them has been great and lucrative too,” he said.
